And the hoplessness i felt when Levi saw their corpses, especially petra's dead body. For that i still hate annie. Good for her tho. i watched this high when it first came out and i cried i woke up the next morning and thought i was imagined it and was tripping when i watched it i went back and watched it again.. and cried again hahahaha reiner was my favourite character

The scene where Thorfinn drops his father's dagger and the ensuing flashbacks in the reflection of the blade speaks volumes. With Askeladd's death, Thorfinn's quest for seeking revenge is over. Thorfinn now has to move on, as Askeladd mentioned. Even though Thorfinn grew more hesitant to kill Askeladd (as seen in the third duel where he stood frozen until Askeladd tossed his sword and angered him) his sole purpose in life was still to murder Askeladd with his father's dagger. Askeladd speaks to him in his dying words about moving on and going further than his father has been. As Thorfinn is being dragged away, he slowly releases his grip on his father's dagger and drops it on his own, it is not someone else taking it from him. This is him finally realizing his self-imposed life's journey is over by dropping the instrument he was to use to exact revenge for his father. The reflection in his dropping blade then shows the reflection of his journey up until that point where seeking revenge was all he wanted in life. The final two images were a younger Thorfinn (the start of the journey) and then the current Thorfinn being carried away (the end of the journey). At least that's my take.

In this one episode Sasha became my immediate favorite...and i HATE that moment 😢
